Aesop's Fables
Aesop was born a slave in about 620 BC in Greece Because of his ability to tell stories, and his talent for teaching as well as amusing, he was freed from slavery and became a diplomat and ambassador for the king of Lydia, Croesus. He travelled all over Greece, telling his tales and trying to teach morals with his stories. of birds and fish and animals.
