Garage Sales
There's more to hosting a garge sale than putting your old stuff on a table in your front yard!
Here's some suggestions for making your garage sale more successful and more fun!
The only experience I've had with this sort of activity is an auction I co-hosted many, many years ago. It was held in our backyard and was primarily for selling tools and vehicles. We had hired a professional auctioneer and thought we were well-prepared. The only thing we never thought about was that customers may need to use the bathroom. Before long there was a steady stream of primarily females going through my kitchen and living room to get to the bathroom. As I was helping outside, I was more than surprised to go into the house and find women resting in my living room, going through my kitchen cupboards (to find a glass for water), and changing diapers on my sofa. In any future sales, I'd rent an outdoor "johnny" and provide drinking water outside!
